WRivA has undertaken a microplastics survey four times a year along the beach at Werribee South.
This is a Port Phillip Bay EcoCentre project in conjunction with the Victorian EPA.
Microplastics are pieces of plastic smaller than 5mm.
Microplastics include plastic resin pellets sometimes known as nurdles.
Generally, the microplastics load is not as high as elsewhere around the bay.
The project will continue.
