Bats & Bugs – school holiday program

In our back yards, there are many tiny and amazing creatures hiding amongst the plants and underground. Discover bugs of all colours, shapes and sizes with activities, colouring and craft. At night little bats come out to feed on nighttime insects, having spent the day hidden and sleeping. These wonderful creatures can fly hundreds of kilometres, eat nearly half their own body weight in bugs each night, and have some very clever ways of sensing the world around them. Find out more about these special mammals, and make your own bat mask to take home. Ages 5-10, $2 per child. Accompanying parents and siblings free. Venue: Tarneit Community Learning Centre.
