Lower Werribee Catchment Tour 

Join the Werribee Riverkeeper on a tour of the lower Werribee Catchment, from the Weir in Bacchus Marsh to the Weir at Riverbend Historical Park, Werribee. Bring own snacks and lunch; wear suitable clothing and bring a camera if needed. Some moderate walking involved. Timing may vary. Car-pooling available in Werribee, meet 9am for 9.15am departure from the carpark corner Watton and Synnot Streets Werribee. Car pooling at Bacchus also encouraged.

Start 9am for 9.15am for carpooling departure from the 

Stop 1 10am Bacchus Diversion Weir, end of Werribee Vale Rd. 

Stop 2 10.45am Merrimu Reservoir on Diggers Rest-Coimadai Rd (toilets here)

Stop 3 11.45am Melton Reservoir Djerriwarrh Creek outlook, Hopetoun Park

Stop 4 12.15pm Melton Reservoir Exford (toilets here)

Stop 5 1.00pm Cobbledick’s Ford, Cobbledick’s Ford Road Mt Cottrell

Stop 6 1.45pm Werribee Diversion Weir, Riverbend Historic Park, Heath’s Road Werribee 

Finish tour at Riverbend Historic Park.
