Naturehood walk: Cheetham Wetlands

Recently moved to Wyndham and keen to get a sense of the landscape? Looking for a walking group with a difference – with permission to stop and look at birds, plants and waterways? Ever wondered about the stories embedded in place?

This year we are exploring the naturehood across Wyndham. All the dates are on a Sunday, with guided walks going for an easy hour or so.

Learn about the historical saltworks at Cheetham Wetlands, and why the shallow lagoons and marshes now attract diverse birdlife. We will meet at the reserve entry point off Sunman Dve, Point Cook, near the observation tower. (Please note the dropped map pin the link). The walk will begin at 10.10AM.

No bookings required: turn up ready to connect with nature in good company. Tell your family and friends! For reminders and updates, follow us on Facebook or email admin@werribeeriver.org.au.
