Special Clean up the Lower Werribee River

Calling kayakers and intrepid walkers to help up clean a hard to reach area of the lower Werribee River. After the floods there has been a huge amount of rubbish caught along the banks, near where the river joins Port Phillip Bay. Due to a lack of access points and accessible paths it hasn’t been removed.

You can help either on foot or via kayak. If on foot, please note there are no clear tracks to this point and there is highly sensitive vegetation. Care will need to be taken and numbers will be limited. To register please contact jess.fairfax@werribeeriver.org.au.
