The Big Cook Up/Talking Bush Food

A two-part session to think, talk about, and maybe even eat food!

To book visit: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/the-big-cook-up-talking-bush-food-tickets-522277565257

Co-hosted with Pulse with Purpose, the first session is dedicated to yoghurts and pickling, particularly using cauliflower grown from the famous Werribee South market gardens. It is mainly a demonstration… but be prepared to be called upon to chop, stir and taste.*

We will conclude with a one-hour talk by proud Wadawurrung woman Danae Coots, who will take us through the ways that First Nations people thrived on the generosity of Country for thousands of years. Ready to look at a plant in a different way?

Bookings are essential due to space limitations.

It is advisable to leave little ones at home for this one as we will be in a working kitchen. We also recommend wearing closed shoes. Most importantly, bring your own clean, dry containers in case enough food is made to enjoy at home!

This is the final event in the Mothers for Mother Nature program funded by Harpley (Lendlease). Thanks also to Velisha Farms for supplying the produce.
