Waterways in Watercolour

Brush up on your painting skills with award winning visual artist Xiang Li, down at the fishing docks in Werribee South, where the Werribee River meets Port Philip Bay.

A place of great cultural and natural significance, the estuary is a RAMSAR protected area, home to many bird species including the endangered orange-bellied parrot. It boasts a breath-taking view over the wetlands to the You Yangs, and tells a story of the fisherman who bring in their catch and the couples and families who flock to the beach to enjoy a sandy fish and chips.

Xiang Li will explain the fundamentals of watercolour, providing examples of various techniques. You’ll then get a chance to put them into action, while learning about some of the plants and animals that call this part of the world home. All materials to be provided.
