Ever wanted to expand your nature knowledge? Here are some suggestions…

The United Nations offers a range of free online courses and there are over 40 free to choose from! You can browse the courses on the edX platform here and then create an account in edX if you want enrol in a course.

Nature-based Solutions for Disaster and Climate Resilience is one such course. This course is designed to take about 7 weeks, where you would spend 3-6 hours per week doing the self-paced course work. Enrolments are open now until 31 August – check out the link  here.

The course is designed to solve the challenges from events like floods, heatwaves or droughts.

If you want to go a step higher, you can do a Professional Certificate in Sustainable Water Management, for a fee. Details are available here.

Another United Nations platform for developing your nature knowledge is called Learning for Nature. These e-learning courses will help you promote best practice in conservation and sustainable development, develop the capacity of biodiversity policymakers, practitioners, and local and Indigenous communities, and support ongoing peer-to-peer learning.
