Wyndham Waste Alliance: Leadership, Organising and Action
It’s been a minute! But we are excited to get our dedicated and passionate community together again to plan, plot and combat the waste crisis!
Come along to hear about the development of Wyndham Litter Action Plan, a holistic approach aimed at reducing the incidence and impact of litter in our waterways, and how community can be involved.
The evening will also include a workshop from Environment Victoria that will cover fundamental aspects of community organising to win power for systemic change.
Free, but register to attend. If you can, bring along a plate to share.

Objectives:
- Deepen participants’ understanding of the power that underlies the systems we take for granted which impact people and our environment
- Explore community organising as a practice for building power to make change
- Reflect on practices of leadership we can embrace to organise our community
- Situate the content within the change Wyndham Waste Alliance wants to make
The Wyndham Waste Alliance is an initiative facilitated by the Werribee River Association that aims to build the skills, networks and capacity of local Wyndham residents to tackle the waste crisis. All are welcome.
