Possum Magic Picnic

Join us these summer school holidays for a Possum Magic Picnic!

Pack up your picnic baskets, bring a rug and come on down to Wyndham Park to find out about our local possum species and how you can create a healthy habitat for them, from local wildlife carer Jacqui Middleton. Possums are particularly effected by deforestation and are predated upon by the introduced fox. They are also hit by cars, or killed by cats and dogs in suburban areas. But there are things you can do to give them a little helping hand!

We also have a teaching artist from Monkey Baa Theatre Company joining us on the day. Off the back of their Possum Magic Stage Show Production, they’ll lead us through drama activities to help us explore the story, characters and themes of Possum Magic.

This event is free, however registrations are essential!

Why not ride your bike to the event? The track along the Werribee River is a scenic and stress free way to get to the park. More more info visit: https://www.visitwerribee.com/see-do/cycling-walks/werribee-river-trail
